Ethan Bentinck-Smith is a club-level racer competing in SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, national multiclass sprint championships run in the United States. He races a one-design Spec Racer Ford in the SRF3 class, where amateur and semi-professional drivers compete alongside graded professionals in shared multiclass grids.[1]
Bentinck-Smith has five seasons of racing on record spanning 2022 to 2026, with 71 starts across both series. He has taken three wins and sixteen podiums, all but one of them in SCCA Regionals. In 2026, his current season, he has raced two rounds so far and leads with one win and two podiums, currently sitting 56th in the championship standings as the season continues.[2]
He typically finishes behind Craig Chase, a fellow club-level regular in the same series who has run substantially more starts in both SCCA championships. Against entry-level professional opposition, Bentinck-Smith has beaten Evan Slater, a Trans-Am TA2 and Radical Cup competitor, once, and Joseph Maley, an FIA Silver graded driver with extensive SCCA Majors experience, once as well.
