Brian Schofield is a semi-professional racing in the SCCA Majors, a national multiclass championship run entirely in the United States. He races a Spec Racer Ford in the SRF3 class, one of 25 classes competing simultaneously. Schofield has raced steadily since 2021, currently competing for his seventh season.[1]
Across his six indexed seasons, Schofield has taken 27 wins and 45 podiums from 56 starts in the Majors, establishing himself as a regular frontrunner in his class. He won the SCCA Majors championship in both 2025 and 2026. His record in the SCCA Runoffs, the series' national championship format held across four seasons, stands at one podium from four starts, including a podium finish in his most recent outing in 2025.[2]
Schofield's typical opposition in the Majors consists of competitive amateurs and semi-professionals; he usually finishes ahead of regular rivals James Goughary and Todd Vanacore, both of whom have broader racing experience across Star Mazda and Indy-level series. He has also beaten Peter Dempsey, a professional with 26 Indy NXT starts and 25 in Star Mazda, twice; and Jim Cox, an entry-level professional with 28 IMSA Pilot Challenge starts, once.
