Nick Groat is an entry-level professional competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American championship for One Motorsports, racing the Huracán Super Trofeo in the Am and LBCup classes. Graded FIA Bronze, he sits in the amateur tier of the grading system used in sportscar racing. He races in a national multiclass field mixing amateurs with graded professionals, with his primary competition drawn from drivers at the semi-professional and competitive amateur level.[1]
Groat won back-to-back championships in 2024 and 2025, taking 11 wins and 18 podiums across 30 starts in the Lamborghini series. His only other indexed racing came in 2021, when he made two NASA starts in the Super Touring 3 class in a production-based car. He typically finishes ahead of his regular opponents, both semi-professional Rocky Bolduc and competitive amateur Jon Hirshberg, who have significantly more experience in the series. He has beaten professional drivers with credentials elsewhere; he finished ahead of Naveen Rao, a former IMSA Prototype Challenge champion with further racing in the WeatherTech Championship and Asian Le Mans Series, on one occasion, and ahead of entry-level professional David Staab, who has 44 starts in this championship, twice.[2]
