Oliver Scigliano is a club-level racing driver; his rating of 1,684 places him in the developing amateur category, describing drivers with consistently limited competitive success in club and regional fields. Between 2016 and 2018 he competed in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series across eight starts, recording no wins or podium finishes. His average finishing position of sixth across classified results masks the pattern underneath; in his most active year in the series he finished nineteenth in a six-round season, and he consistently trailed the fields he entered.[1]
Scigliano raced against a field of semi-professional and amateur drivers, most notably the FIA Silver graded professionals Alexander Koreiba and Ryan Nash, both established competitors at a substantially higher level. Against Koreiba he finished ahead once in six shared races; the same applied to Nash and to three other regulars in the field. These isolated instances of outperforming stronger drivers came in a career otherwise marked by finishes toward the back of grids. His racing record ended in 2018 and he is currently retired from competition.
