Hunter Cestoni competed in club and regional racing, the entry level where drivers develop with limited competition on record. His rating of 1,235 places him in the developing band, a driver with a small record rather than an established competitor. His sole season of racing came in 2018, when he contested four rounds of American Endurance Racing and won three of them; he finished on the podium in all four starts, averaging a winning position of first place.[1]

Cestoni's head-to-head record against his most frequent rivals was undefeated. He finished ahead of Anthony Lepore Jr., who won the 2015 American Endurance Racing Class Indy championship, in all four races they shared. He also completed a clean sweep over Gary Hattersley and Seamus Erskine in their shared starts. Beyond the regular field, Cestoni posted notable single results against stronger drivers, beating John Ryan Lewis, a two-time American Endurance Racing Class 3 champion, twice; he also defeated Kevin Madsen, graded FIA Silver, once and Panagioti Theodorakopoulos, the 2019 American Endurance Racing Class 3 champion, once. The limited scope of his record, however, prevents these victories from establishing a pattern of sustained competition at a higher level. Cestoni retired after 2018 and has not raced since.
