Peter de Schepper raced in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass endurance championship in which production-based cars shared between multiple drivers compete across multiple classes. His indexed racing spans one season in 2016, when he ran Class 1 and Class 2 machinery in a field mixing amateur, semi-professional and graded professionals in the same races.[1]

De Schepper finished 30th in the 2016 American Endurance Racing standings from four starts. He took one win and two podiums across the season, placing him in club-level racing; the calibre of his opposition and his results against established names suggest mid-field competitiveness in the amateur endurance field rather than dominance within it.[2]

His most significant results came against drivers with deeper series experience. He beat Michael Hurczyn, who won the 2016 American Endurance Racing Class 2 championship and has contested 31 rounds of the series as well as IMSA Pilot Challenge and TC America, and finished ahead of Shakir Wilson twice, a competitive amateur with 69 American Endurance Racing starts. Against Michal Stach, an opponent he met regularly, he was closely matched; Stach had raced 86 rounds of American Endurance Racing and 37 of PCA Club Racing at that level of competition.
