Rob Hamer is a club-level amateur racing driver, rated 642, competing in SCCA Regionals. This rating describes drivers at the developing end of club racing with sparse records or consistent finishes near the back of fields. Hamer recorded four starts across the 2022 to 2024 seasons with no wins or podiums. His average finish of P14.8 places him in the middle-to-rear portion of his fields. He finished his most recent season 305th in the 2024 SCCA Regionals standings.[1]
Hamer's head-to-head record shows him outpaced by his most frequent rival, Gianni Maiuro, a semi-professional driver rated 2,693; Hamer finished behind Maiuro in all four races they shared. He held a winning record against Bill Duncan, a developing amateur, taking one result in three meetings. Among stronger drivers in the field, Hamer scored isolated finishes ahead of Nick Leverone, the 2023 SCCA Regionals SM champion and 2025 SCCA Majors STL champion, and Max Schweid, a professional-level driver rated 3,538, though these were single results rather than patterns of outperformance.
Hamer is now retired from racing after a two-season amateur career in club competition with no championship finishes across any series.
