Maiuro is a semi-professional racing Mazda MX-5 Miatas in national-level SCCA multiclass championships and the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. He has competed in SCCA Regionals since 2022, stepping into SCCA Majors in 2024 and joining BSI Racing for his first Whelen Cup season in 2026. He races spec 1990-2005 Miatas in SCCA's SM class and ND2 Cup cars in the Whelen series.[1]
