Robert Cimler was a developing-level driver in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers share the track across sixteen classes. He raced a Porsche in the SPB class from 2012 to 2016.[1]
Cimler completed three seasons in the series across five calendar years, taking two podiums from 23 starts and finishing 49th in the overall championship standings. He was a regular competitor who usually finished behind Hunt McMahon, a semi-professional with over 130 PCA starts, though he ran closely matched with Sean Gibbons, a competitive amateur and FIA Bronze driver. Cimler beat Gibbons twice and also finished ahead of Thomas Lee, later a two-time American Endurance Racing Class 2 champion, on two occasions.[2]
