Rodrigo Gonzalez is an entry-level professional competing in single-seater championships across North America and Europe. He has raced primarily in USF Juniors, where he accumulated 32 starts between 2024 and 2025, and has competed in GB3 for VRD Racing, a small operation that has fielded eight drivers with professional-level drivers among them. His current campaign in USF2000 stands at 19th in the championship standings after six rounds.[1]
Across seven seasons of racing from 2019 onward, Gonzalez has taken four podiums from 68 starts, with three coming in his most-raced series, USF Juniors. His single GB3 podium came against a mixed field of amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. Earlier in his career he raced TC Pista Mouras in Argentina for Chevrolet. His most recent finish in GB3 was a podium at Silverstone in August 2026.[2]
In USF Juniors, Gonzalez races closely with Patricio Gonzalez, another entry-level professional, with results split evenly between them. Against stronger opposition he has finished ahead of Deagen Fairclough three times; Fairclough is a professional who won the 2024 British F4 championship and has 24 GB3 starts to Gonzalez's 18. He has also beaten Alex Ninovic, a professional and 2025 GB3 champion, once. Leonardo Escorpioni, who won the 2025 USF Juniors title, is a regular opponent but typically finishes ahead of him across their shared series.
