Dieter Schmidtmann was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in which amateur and professional drivers share modified production-based cars across long-distance races. He raced a Porsche for Manthey Racing, one of the series' most established teams.[1]
Schmidtmann's indexed record consists of a single start in 2015, which placed him 29th in the championship standings. In that race he finished ahead of Oleg Kvitka, a professional driver with over two decades of Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie experience, and Alexey Veremenko, an entry-level professional who has also competed in the Nürburgring 24 Hours.[2]
