Tim Cowen is a competitive amateur driver whose single-season record places him in club and regional racing territory, with a Racer Rating of 2,812. His career consists of one NASCAR Xfinity Series start in 2018, driving the No. 66 Ford Mustang for MBM Motorsports. He finished P49 in that outing and has since retired from racing.[1]
In that sole Xfinity Series appearance, Cowen competed against a field that included several stronger drivers. He finished ahead of Tyler Reddick, who would go on to win the 2019 Xfinity Series championship, as well as semi-professional rivals including Ryan Sieg, Kaz Grala, and Cody Ware. However, a single result against drivers of this calibre is not indicative of a sustained pattern and should be read against the context of Cowen's overall limited experience.[2]
With only one start on record and no wins or podium finishes in any series, Cowen's career was too brief to establish himself as a regular competitor at the professional level. His retirement followed immediately after his sole 2018 appearance.
