Toni Virtanen was a club-level driver racing in national multiclass endurance competition. He competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2012 and 2014, a German championship in which amateurs and semi-professionals shared production cars across multiple classes in endurance races. His three starts came in the V4 and V6 classes, mostly for Car #496.[1]
Virtanen's record across three starts yielded a 25th-place finish in the 2014 championship standings. He raced alongside Stein Tveten, the 2012 V4 champion and a frequent competitor in the series with 63 starts there; Tveten typically finished ahead of him. Virtanen's best results came against competitive amateurs and fellow club drivers such as Christoph Hewer and Ralph-Gerald Schlüter, whom he beat once each.
