Sports 2000 North America is a multi-class sprint series running VS2, S2, and HS2 cars. The field is club-level; its median driver comes from the back of regional and national amateur racing, with top drivers including Brent Gernert, Charles Habisreutinger, and Edward Guenther. The series draws most of its competitors from SCCA Regionals, SCCA Runoffs, SVRA, and SCCA Majors; these neighbour series field stronger overall fields, with SCCA Runoffs substantially more competitive. Most drivers departing Sports 2000 move to SVRA, which also runs at a slightly higher level but remains club and vintage racing rather than professional.
