SVRA is a sprint-format club racing series that fields a single class. The roster is composed almost entirely of ungraded club drivers, with a handful of Bronze and Silver graded amateurs. Top drivers in the series include Matthew Brabham, John Bennett, and Bill Elliott. The field is comparable in strength to SCCA Regionals and slightly weaker than NASA and PCA Club Racing, but noticeably below SCCA Majors and SCCA Runoffs. Drivers feed into SVRA primarily from NASA, SCCA Majors, SCCA Regionals, SCCA Runoffs, and PCA Club Racing, and move on most often to Velocity Invitational, SCCA Majors, and Zenith Racing Series, with some advancing to Porsche Sprint Challenge North America GT3 Cup.
