Eric Haagenson is a competitive amateur racing solo in American club racing series, principally in spec BMW E46 machinery. He has raced BMW CCA Club Racing and NASA since 2022, competing in multiclass fields that field amateurs and professionals on the same track. His record of 58 starts across four seasons includes seven wins and 15 podiums, the majority from his 29 BMW CCA Club Racing starts between 2022 and 2023, where he won seven races and took 12 podiums in the Spec E46 class.[1]
In NASA Spec E46 racing he took three podiums from 11 starts in 2022 and 2023. He has also raced American Endurance Racing, where he competed in shared-car multiclass events in 2022 and 2023, and moved to SVRA in 2025, where he currently sits 72nd in the championship standings after five rounds of the season in progress.[2]
Haagenson regularly races against Jesse Clark, the 2023 and 2025 BMW CCA Club Racing Spec E46 champion, and typically finishes behind him. He has been closely matched with Greg Hartman, another competitive amateur regular in BMW CCA and NASA racing. He has beaten David Lecko, an entry-level professional with SVRA and GT America experience, three times across their meetings, and once finished ahead of Christopher Matos, an entry-level professional who won the NASA Spec E30 championship in 2023 and 2024.
