John Robinson is an entry-level professional competing in national multiclass racing across the United States. He races Formula Ford open-wheel cars in the SCCA's Regionals and Majors series, where he also campaigns a near-stock B-Spec hatchback in Majors events. His most recent indexed appearance was in SVRA in 2025.[1]
Robinson's record spans eight seasons from 1997 onwards, though his primary activity came in the SCCA Regionals from 2022 to 2023, where he won eight of nine races. His SCCA Majors record runs from 2021 to 2026 with two wins and four podiums across nine starts. He also holds a brief appearance in the FIA GT Championship between 1997 and 1999, racing for Roock Sportsystem in shared-car endurance competition.[2]
In SCCA Regionals, Robinson regularly finishes ahead of 2025 FF champion John Schimenti and club-level regular James Morgan. He has beaten established professionals including FIA Gold-graded Max Angelelli and International Formula 3000 driver John Nielsen, each once. His results place him among the front runners of the regional amateur and semi-professional fields he contests.
