John Koster is a club-level driver competing in national multiclass racing across four series: PCA Club Racing, International GT, American Endurance Racing, and SVRA. In PCA Club Racing, his primary series since 2017, he races Porsches in the 911CUP, F, and GTC6 classes as a solo driver. He also competes in International GT, driving 981-generation Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in a multiclass field shared with endurance competitors and graded professionals. His endurance racing comes through American Endurance Racing, where he shares Class 1 and Class 3 production-based cars with teammates across multiclass events.[1]
Over a ten-season career from 2017, Koster has taken 16 podiums from 46 starts, with two wins. His wins came in American Endurance Racing and International GT. In PCA Club Racing, where he has logged 33 starts, he has six podiums but no victories. His record shows consistency against amateur and club-level fields; he regularly finishes ahead of developing drivers and has beaten professional-graded competitors on several occasions, including a professional driver three times and an entry-level professional twice across PCA Club Racing outings. His most frequent rival, club-level regular David Hutchings, typically finishes ahead of him in head-to-head competition.[2]
