🏳️ Clayton Cavell

Clayton Cavell is a club-level driver racing in national solo-driver multiclass championships in the United States. He has spent most of his seven indexed seasons in NASA's Spec Miata class, driving Mazda MX-5 Miatas in spec trim for a large Mazda Spec Miata operation. He has also competed in SCCA Majors and SCCA Runoffs in the SM class, and began racing SVRA's Group 1 3 4 class in 2026.[1]

Across 36 starts from 2018 through the current season, Cavell has taken four podiums. His NASA career spans nearly the full period from 2018 to 2026, yielding one podium from 27 starts. His most significant recent results have come in SVRA, where he has completed three rounds so far in 2026 and taken three podiums in that span. His peak results include wins over professional drivers Hannah Grisham, who races at FIA Silver grade and competes in NASA, GT4 America and IMSA series, and Jake Walker, also Silver-graded and a regular in IMSA prototypes and GT championships.[2]

Cavell typically races against established amateurs and semi-professionals in these national championships. He has regularly met Wyatt Couch, an entry-level professional and two-time champion in NASA Spec Miata and SCCA Regionals, and generally finishes behind him. He has more often finished ahead of Corentin Derbois, a developing driver with 80 NASA starts. His team fielded 125 drivers across its indexed record, including professional Kyle Kaiser, placing Cavell among many competitors on its roster.
