Bruce Hamilton races in American single-seater and vintage racing championships at competitive amateur level. His record spans SCCA Majors and SCCA Runoffs in Formula Atlantic and SVRA in Group 2 and Group 9 classes, all multiclass national championships run in the United States where amateurs and professionals share the same track.[1]

Across three seasons from 2024 to 2026, Hamilton has taken four wins and eleven podiums from eighteen starts. In SVRA, his primary series, he has won three times and finished on the podium eight times from thirteen starts. His 2026 SVRA campaign remains in progress with eleven rounds completed; he currently holds eighth place in the championship standings with three wins and eight podiums so far this season. His other racing has come in SCCA Majors, where he took one win and two podiums from four starts, and a single SCCA Runoffs appearance in 2024.[2]

Hamilton operates closely alongside Thomas Melendrez in SVRA, a club-level regular who matches him across their head-to-head racing. He runs most often behind Nathan Byrd, an entry-level professional and 2023 International GT GT3.8 champion with extensive credentials across International GT, NASCAR Truck and NASCAR Xfinity series, though he has beaten Byrd twice. He has also finished ahead of Lee Mowle, a Le Mans Cup GT3 champion and Le Mans Cup regular, in two meetings.
