🇺🇸 Tonis Kasemets

Tonis Kasemets is a professional racing driver competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge for Wulver Racing. He is FIA Silver-graded, the grade below full professional in endurance racing. He drives LMP3 prototypes in a multiclass national championship where amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers share the track. His championship came in 2022 when he won the IMSA Prototype Challenge title with Wulver Racing, taking five wins and eight podiums across 25 starts in that series.[1]

Kasemets has raced for 16 seasons since 2010, though indexed starts total 38 across four series. His record in the IMSA Prototype Challenge spans 2018 to 2022. He has also made eight starts in IMSA WeatherTech, a five-class endurance series in which he shared LMP2 and LMP3 prototypes with co-drivers. Earlier in his career he made three solo starts in Indy NXT in 2010 and 2011. He is currently active in SVRA, a five-class solo-racing series, where he has taken two wins and two podiums from two starts so far in the 2026 season and currently sits 12th in the championship standings.[2]

In the IMSA Prototype Challenge he races regularly against Keith Grant and David Grant, both entry-level professionals graded Bronze, and is closely matched with both. He has beaten stronger opposition; he finished ahead of Kyle Kirkwood, a Gold-graded elite professional and three-time Indy NXT champion, twice across their meetings, and ahead of Brendon Hartley, a Platinum-graded established professional and three-time world endurance champion, once in IMSA WeatherTech.
