Dakota Dickerson is an American driver rated at the professional level, with a Racer Rating of 4,069 and an FIA Silver grade. His racing has spanned single-seater competition and multiclass sportscar endurance racing, mostly in LMP3 prototypes, all within the United States. Most of his starts have come for MLT Motorsports, a team that has also fielded professional driver Steven Aghakhani; he is currently racing for Stratus Racing in the 2026 Zenith Racing Series.[1]
Dickerson won the 2019 Formula Regional Americas championship, his only season in the series, taking five wins and eleven podiums from sixteen starts; that followed his 2018 Formula 4 United States Championship title. He then moved into sportscar endurance racing, spending four seasons in the LMP3 class of IMSA Prototype Challenge for JDC MotorSports, with three wins and eight podiums, before continuing in the same class in IMSA WeatherTech for Jr III Racing, taking one win and three podiums from nine starts across two seasons. His record also includes three wins and six podiums from nine starts for a Mazda Miata in NASA competition in 2015, three starts in SVRA in 2024, a single TCR-class start in IMSA Pilot Challenge for LAP Motorsports in 2020, and an indexed start at SKUSA SuperNationals in 2011. He is currently racing for Stratus Racing in the 2026 Zenith Racing Series, sitting sixth in the standings so far with a win and three podiums from four rounds.[2]
Dickerson's most frequent opponents in prototype racing include Dan Goldburg, a Bronze-graded professional with starts across IMSA WeatherTech, IMSA Prototype Challenge and the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, and Tonis Kasemets, a Silver-graded professional who won the 2022 IMSA Prototype Challenge P3 championship; Dickerson usually finishes ahead of both. His best results against outside opposition include beating Kyle Kirkwood, an IndyCar driver and champion of the 2018 Formula Regional Americas, 2019 Indy Pro 2000 Championship and 2021 Indy NXT, on two occasions, and Felipe Fraga, the 2025 Stock Car Pro Series champion, on three occasions.
