Maya Weug is a Silver-graded driver racing in junior single-seater formula championships. She competes in F1 Academy, a multiclass international series run across 13 countries with three classes racing together, for MP Motorsport, and has raced in Italian F4, Formula Regional European and ADAC Formula 4 since 2021. Her rating of 3,976 places her at entry-level professional level; that grade sits below the full-professional ranks in FIA endurance classification and typically denotes a driver developing toward the next step.[1]

Weug has taken four wins and 17 podiums across 96 starts in her five seasons on record. Her strongest results came in F1 Academy, where she secured 4 wins and 17 podiums from 27 starts across the R1, R2 and R3 classes from 2024 onward. In single-seater formula racing she has most often raced in fields mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals; her 2022 Italian F4 season with Iron Dames, her most recent indexed appearance, placed her 14th in the championship.[2]

Weug regularly races against drivers of considerably higher standing. She has finished ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a generational talent and reigning champion of Italian F4, ADAC Formula 4 and Formula Regional European, on four occasions, and has beaten Arvid Lindblad, an elite professional, three times. Against both Antonelli and Nikita Bedrin, a professional with 40 Formula 3 starts, she typically finishes behind them across their shared races.
