Petri Suvanto was a professional single-seater racing driver from Finland who competed in the Star Mazda Championship and Pro Mazda Championship, both national American championships run across a mix of amateur and professional drivers. He raced for Team Pelfrey, an established operation that has fielded a range of drivers including elite professionals. His indexed career spans two seasons, from 2012 to 2013, with 21 starts.[1]

In his first indexed season, 2012, Suvanto made 17 starts in the Star Mazda Championship and finished fifth in the final standings, taking a single podium across the year. He returned to racing in 2013 with four starts in the Pro Mazda Championship before his record ends. He was closely matched across both seasons against regular opponents Juan Piedrahita, an FIA Silver-graded professional, and Diego Ferreira, both of whom competed in the same championships with broadly similar levels of success. Suvanto also finished ahead of Ryan Tveter, a driver who went on to race FIA Formula 3 European and GP3 Series, and Connor De Phillippi, now an established professional with titles in GT World Challenge America Pro and IMSA WeatherTech GTDPRO, though those meetings were infrequent across the limited dataset.[2]
