Diego Ferreira is a retired professional driver from Venezuela who competed in North American open-wheel racing from 2012 to 2013. His Racer Rating of 4,325 places him in the professional band, a standard front-runner in national championship fields or the sharp end of a strong feeder series, capable of beating semi-professionals comfortably. Ferreira's record, however, reflects a driver who operated at the lower end of that band; across 33 starts with Juncos Racing he averaged a finishing position of P5.6 and secured a single victory.[1]

Ferreira's career trajectory showed improvement in his second year. In Star Mazda Championship in 2012, his debut season, he failed to podium across 17 starts and finished seventh in points. The following season in Pro Mazda Championship he found his stride, scoring 11 podiums and one win from 16 starts, a marked upturn that indicated growing competence in the category. His head-to-head record against his peers tells a mixed story. He dominated a cluster of semi-professional rivals, finishing ahead of Zack Meyer in 32 of 33 meetings and beating Lloyd Read in all 18 encounters. Against established professionals his record was less commanding. He lost the majority of his races to Petri Suvanto and Juan Piedrahita, both comparable drivers in strength, and was consistently outpaced by stronger rivals such as Kyle Kaiser and Gustavo Menezes, a World Endurance Championship LMP2 champion, despite occasionally beating them in individual races. His career ended after the 2013 Pro Mazda season.
