🇺🇸 Zach Veach

Zach Veach is an entry-level professional competing in multiclass endurance racing. He holds an FIA Gold rating in sportscar and GT racing. His recent activity centres on GT World Challenge America and IMSA Pilot Challenge, racing for Racers Edge Motorsports and CSM respectively; he drives GT3 and GT4-level machinery in shared-car formats where he takes turns at the wheel with co-drivers.[1]

His career began in junior single-seaters in 2011 with Star Mazda, where he took three podiums across two seasons with Andretti Autosport. He stepped up to Indy NXT in 2013 and spent four seasons there with Belardi Auto Racing, winning six races and taking 17 podiums. Belardi won the 2016 Indy NXT championship that season; Veach drove for them throughout their title year. He made the jump to IndyCar in 2017, spending four seasons in the series with 47 starts, most of them on road and street courses rather than ovals. His endurance racing record spans since 2015, including twelve starts in IMSA WeatherTech and appearances in American Endurance Racing. His most recent season, 2024, saw him take eight podiums from eleven GT World Challenge starts.[2]

In endurance racing Veach operates in a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. He has finished ahead of Alex Palou, the four-time reigning IndyCar champion, on four occasions, and has beaten Pato O'Ward, an elite professional and IMSA WeatherTech champion, five times. Against his most regular opponents he remains closely matched with Ed Jones, a Gold-graded professional with extensive IndyCar experience, while he has usually finished behind Gabby Chaves, a fellow Gold-graded driver who won the 2020 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR championship.
