Bubba Nissen is an entry-level professional who raced in NASCAR Xfinity, the national oval championship in the United States, between 1982 and 1985. He drove primarily for his own team and made 26 starts across four seasons, finishing 33rd in the final points standings in 1985.[1]
Nissen took a single podium across his indexed career. He raced against a field that mixed amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals; his most regular opponents were Tommy Houston and Jack Ingram, both entry-level professionals who typically finished ahead of him. He beat the established professional Sam Ard once and finished ahead of the professional Eddie Johnson on three occasions, though Johnson had only entered ten NASCAR Xfinity races.[2]
