Christophe Bourret was a French amateur endurance racing driver, rated 4,699, placing him in the professional category as a national championship front-runner level competitor. He held the FIA Bronze categorisation, the classification for gentleman or amateur drivers competing in sportscar and endurance racing alongside professionals. His racing career spanned two seasons from 2012 to 2013, during which he accumulated 11 starts across one series.[1]
Bourret raced exclusively in the WEC, where he competed for IMSA Performance Matmut across 11 starts, securing one win and three podium finishes. His average finishing position was fourth. The 2013 season saw his strongest output, producing one win and one podium from three rounds before the season ended with a P17 finish. Throughout his WEC campaign, Bourret regularly competed against established professionals and championship-winning drivers. He demonstrated competitive moments against Julien Canal, a professional-level FIA Silver driver and two-time WEC LMP2 champion, finishing ahead of him three times across their eight shared races. He also managed isolated victories over higher-calibre rivals including Ricky Taylor, a Platinum-graded professional multiple-time IMSA WeatherTech champion, and Franรงois Perrodo, a professional-level competitor and two-time WEC LMGTE Am champion. However, his overall head-to-head records against his most frequent rivals such as Christian Ried, Paolo Ruberti, and Gianluca Roda were significantly negative, suggesting he occupied the lower end of the fields he entered. He is now retired from racing.[2]
