🇫🇷 Patrick Bornhauser

Patrick Bornhauser is a retired professional sportscar driver from France who raced in the FIA GT Championship and the World Endurance Championship between 2006 and 2013. He drove GTE machinery in the WEC's GTE-Am and LMGTE Am classes for Larbre Competition, a established team that fielded him for the bulk of his indexed career.[1]

Bornhauser took three wins and six podiums across 17 starts in endurance racing. His primary campaign came in the WEC from 2012 to 2013, where he completed a full season in 2013 and finished fifth in the LMGTE Am championship standings, taking two podiums across the eight rounds. He also won twice in the WEC and took two additional podiums in 2012. A single start in the FIA GT Championship in 2006 produced one win. Away from the index he won the GTE-Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 2011 and 2012.[2]

In the professional WEC field Bornhauser raced regularly against Christian Ried, the 2012 LMGTE Am champion and a three-time WEC class titlist, and Paolo Ruberti, a Gold-graded professional who won the 2012 LMGTE Am title alongside Ried. Against both drivers he split results evenly across their meetings. He finished ahead of Timo Bernhard, a Platinum-graded established professional and 2016 WEC LMP1 champion, once, and beat Marc Lieb, an established professional with 41 WEC starts, in a single encounter.
