Daniel Di Leo is a professional-level driver whose Racer Rating of 4,295 places him among front-running competitors in strong feeder series, though he saw limited high-level competition during his career. His three seasons in the Star Mazda Championship between 2004 and 2007 yielded a single win and ten podiums from fifteen starts, with an average finish of fifth place. The consistency of his results against the regular field demonstrated reliable speed; he finished ahead of Dan Tomlin Jr., Jon Brownson, and Brian Thienes in nearly all their shared races, establishing a pattern of superiority over peers at his tier.[1]

Di Leo's record also contains notable individual results against drivers who went on to considerably stronger careers. He beat Michael McDowell, the 2004 Star Mazda champion who would become an established professional, twice across their shared races. He also scored single victories over Dane Cameron, who became the 2007 Star Mazda champion and subsequently a prolific IMSA sportscar winner; Jonathan Bomarito, a Platinum-graded sportscar professional; and Ricky Taylor, a multiple-time IMSA champion.
