Gasparini started in 1996 and raced through 1998 across three rounds of Formula 3 Macau. The field he encountered included established professionals such as Darren Manning, an IndyCar and International Formula 3000 driver, and André Couto, who later won the 2015 Super GT GT300 championship. Against both, Gasparini typically finished behind them. He did finish ahead of Nick Heidfeld, an established professional who would go on to race 184 Formula 1 grands prix and win the 1999 International Formula 3000 title, and also beat Daisuke Ito, a Gold-graded professional from Super GT. His team, EF Project, recorded no race wins across its time in the index.[2]
