🇬🇧 Richard Grant

Richard Grant is a developing amateur racer competing in national American multiclass motorsport. He races the TA-class tube-frame V8 silhouette car in Trans-Am, where he has made 26 starts since 2018, and also competes in SCCA Majors across its GT1 and T1 classes, International GT's CAY4.0 class, and SVRA's Group 10 class. His record across all series stands at 62 starts, one win and five podiums.[1]

Grant's single victory came in SCCA Majors. He has taken four additional podiums in that series alongside his sole podium finish in International GT's CAY4.0 class. In Trans-Am, his primary series by volume of starts, he finished sixth in the TA-class championship standings in 2024 across two rounds raced. His nine seasons of racing, from 2018 through 2026, have been spent as a regular in fields mixing amateurs with semi-professional and graded professional drivers.[2]

Trans-Am regulars Chris Dyson and Amy Ruman, both entry-level to professional level drivers, are his most frequent competitors, and Grant typically finishes behind both. He has beaten Matthew Brabham, a Silver-graded established professional and former Pro Mazda champion with 37 Indy NXT starts, once across their meetings. He has also finished ahead of Paul Menard, the 2025 Trans-Am TA champion, once in their racing together.
