Amy Ruman is an entry-level professional racing driver competing in Trans-Am, a national multiclass sprint championship where amateur and professional drivers share the grid across six classes. She races the TA class, piloting a tube-frame V8 silhouette car, and has been active in the series since 2018.[1]

Across nine seasons, Ruman has accumulated 61 starts and six podiums in Trans-Am. She has held two championships at the top level of the series in her career. In the 2026 season, now in progress, she sits eleventh in the championship standings with three rounds complete.[2]

Ruman races regularly against drivers of considerably stronger standing. She typically finishes behind Chris Dyson, a professional who has won the Trans-Am TA championship four consecutive times from 2021 to 2024, and behind Tomy Drissi, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded driver with extensive experience across Trans-Am, IMSA and NASCAR competition. Against established professionals she has occasionally prevailed; she has beaten Brent Crews, a FIA Silver-graded driver who won the 2023 Trans-Am TA2 championship, twice across their meetings, and has finished ahead of Brandon Jones, an established professional with over 450 NASCAR starts.
