Danny Lowry is a club-level driver racing in national solo championships across the United States. He competes primarily in Trans-Am, where he drives in the stock car touring series, and also races in SVRA's multiclass endurance grid and SCCA regional and national GT competitions in tube-frame silhouette cars and production-based machinery. He won the Trans-Am championship in both 2022 and 2023.[1]
Lowry has 62 starts across seven seasons of racing from 2020 to 2026. His record is built on consistent success in Trans-Am, where he has taken 10 wins and 19 podiums from 20 starts, and on solid performances in SCCA Regionals with 3 wins and 7 podiums from 8 starts. He won SCCA Majors podiums twice from four starts and has taken one podium in 19 SVRA starts. His only indexed racing before 2021 was eight club-level starts in PCA Porsche racing. In the current 2025 season, he has finished fourth in the Trans-Am standings with one podium from two rounds completed.[2]
Lowry races regularly against other developing drivers in SVRA; he is closely matched with Steve Yarborough and usually finishes behind Victor Corda in that series. In Trans-Am he has beaten Connor Mosack, a professional-level driver with substantial NASCAR Truck and Xfinity experience, once in head-to-head racing. He finished ahead of Connor Zilisch, an established professional and FIA Gold-graded driver with NASCAR Cup Series credentials, on one occasion.
