Aldo Ortiz was a club-level driver who raced single-seater touring cars in Argentina across eleven seasons from 2010 to 2020. He spent most of his career in TC Mouras and TC Pista, national Argentine championships, driving primarily for Dodge and latterly for Chevrolet.[1]
Ortiz recorded one win and eight podiums across 136 starts. His best season came early in TC Mouras between 2010 and 2014, where he took that single victory and seven of his eight podium finishes. He moved to TC Pista from 2015 onwards, where he started 74 times but took only one additional podium; his final season in 2020 saw him finish 25th in the championship standings after nine rounds.[2]
His regular opponents were closely matched amateurs and competitive amateurs. He ran evenly with Diego Verriello, a club-level regular across both series, but typically finished behind Marcos Muchiut, a competitive amateur with 71 TC Pista starts. Ortiz's most notable scalps came against entry-level professionals; he beat Santiago Mangoni four times and 2015 TC Mouras champion Julián Santero three times, though Santero went on to win the 2024 Turismo Carretera title.
