His career in top-tier open-wheel racing consisted of a single IndyCar start in 2008, where he finished 35th and failed to record a podium finish. Prior to his IndyCar appearance, Figge raced in lower-formula categories including the Star Mazda Championship, where he secured a victory at Portland International Raceway in 2000 while driving for World Speed Motorsports.[1]
