Brendan Puderbach was an entry-level professional racing in a national single-class open-wheel series. He competed for FatBoy Racing! in the Pro Mazda Championship, which fields a mix of amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers in the same field. His sole indexed season was 2017, when he made ten starts.[1]
Puderbach finished 14th in the championship standings across the ten-round season. He occasionally finished ahead of stronger drivers, including entry-level professionals Robert Megennis and Max Hanratty who had raced at higher levels of the open-wheel ladder. However, he regularly finished behind Victor Franzoni, the 2017 Pro Mazda champion, and Sting Ray Robb, who went on to win the Indy Pro 2000 Championship and race in Indy NXT and IndyCar. His results placed him mid-field in a field that included both established professionals and drivers new to the series.[2]
