Carlos Cunha was a professional racing in the Pro Mazda Championship, a single-class national series in the United States that fields drivers from amateur to professional level. He raced for Juncos Racing across two seasons, 2017 and 2018, with 25 starts and eleven podiums.[1]
Cunha finished fifth in the championship standings in 2018, his final season in the series. Over his two years in Pro Mazda, he regularly finished ahead of semi-professional Nikita Lastochkin and professional Sting Ray Robb, and beat elite professional David Malukas seven times. He also finished ahead of Rinus VeeKay, the 2018 Pro Mazda champion, on three occasions.[2]
