Anthony Martin is a professional racing driver with a rating of 4,268, placing him in the professional category; this level describes drivers who win regularly in strong feeder series and beat semi-professionals comfortably. His entire recorded racing career spans a single season in 2017, during which he competed in the Pro Mazda Championship for Cape Motorsports.[1]

Martin's 2017 campaign was exceptionally strong relative to the field. Across twelve races he recorded five wins and eleven podium finishes, averaging a finishing position of 1.8 and securing second place overall in the championship. His primary rival was Victor Franzoni, the 2017 Pro Mazda champion and an established professional rated substantially higher; Martin finished ahead of Franzoni five times but was beaten by him on seven occasions, a losing head-to-head record that reflects Franzoni's greater experience and higher calibre. Martin's record against other competitors was more decisive; he finished ahead of Sting Ray Robb, a Gold-graded professional and later Indy Pro 2000 champion, in all twelve meetings, and beat Carlos Cunha in ten of twelve races and TJ Fischer in eleven of twelve. This pattern of dominating drivers near his level whilst remaining in Franzoni's shadow is typical of a capable junior driver in his first season facing a mix of established and emerging professionals.

Martin has since retired from racing. Beyond his competitive record, he has been associated with the Urban Youth Racing School in Philadelphia, an organisation focused on teaching STEM skills to young people through motorsport.
