Ali Naimi is a developing amateur racer who competed in national solo single-seater and production-car racing across the United States. He drove a Mazda MX-5 Miata in NASA's PTD class, a production-based power-to-weight category, and raced in SCCA Runoffs B-Spec competition. His career spanned six starts between 2015 and 2021.[1]
Naimi took two podiums across NASA competition in 2015, his only season of regular activity. His subsequent appearances came in SCCA Runoffs in 2020 and 2021, where he made a single start in each year. He finished ahead of Robert Iversen, a competitive amateur with SCCA Majors and Runoffs experience, and once beat Eric Powell, an entry-level professional who has raced in GT4 America and IMSA Pilot Challenge.
