Angel Arias is a developing driver racing in NASA, a national multiclass championship that runs spec and production cars across fifteen classes in a single race. Arias drives a 1993β1995 BMW 325i in the Spec3 class, a field of amateur and semi-professional entrants competing on a level technical platform. Through four seasons from 2023 to 2026, Arias has made 45 starts and taken one podium finish.[1]
In the 2026 season, still in progress, Arias currently sits twelfth in the championship standings after twelve rounds. The most recent activity prior to the current season shows consistent participation across the NASA calendar since 2023, including visits to Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, Summit Point, Lime Rock Park and New Jersey Motorsports Park. Arias has beaten competitive amateur Taylor Johnson twice and three-time American Endurance Racing Class 4 champion Alex Rubenstein three times; however, Arias typically finishes behind both Johnson and club-level driver Andreas Schmidt in regular competition.[2]
