🏳️ Art Valentine

Art Valentine races in SCCA Regionals and NASA, national-level multiclass championships where up to 25 classes of solo-driven closed-wheel cars share the track in a single race. The field mixes amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals. Valentine races in the SPU and STU classes for SCCA Regionals and in Super Touring 1 and Super Touring 3 for NASA, and has made three starts with Thunder Roadster.[1]

Across six seasons from 2016 to 2026, Valentine has taken 15 starts and five wins, all but one of them in SCCA Regionals since 2022. In NASA, where Valentine raced between 2016 and 2022, a single podium finish came from seven starts. The SCCA Regionals years have been far more productive; Valentine has taken five wins and seven podiums in eight starts there, establishing a pattern of strong finishes in that series. The current 2026 SCCA Regionals season is underway, with Valentine sitting eighth in the championship standings after one round, having taken a win and a podium so far.[2]

Valentine races most often against Luis Lanz, a club-level regular in NASA, and against Cecil Stevens, who competes at a developing level across both series and has significantly more starts in SCCA Regionals; Valentine typically finishes behind both. Valentine has beaten Ricky Sanders, a semi-professional who competed in Trans-Am and SCCA Regionals, twice; Sanders' experience in graded series places that as Valentine's clearest result against stronger company.
