Austin King was a competitive amateur racer whose career on record consists of two starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals between 2010 and 2012, producing no wins or podiums. His Racer Rating of 2,517 places him at the competitive amateur level; this describes the front of club racing and entry-level professional-amateur events, where drivers are quick enough to race against paid competitors but typically remain self-funded and finish outside the points.[1]

King's limited record against rated opposition shows occasional results against drivers in his own range or slightly above; he beat Milan Dontje, a Silver-graded professional, once, along with single results against Parker McKean, Adam Booker, and Scott Foster, all semi-professional to professional-level competitors.
