Austin Wayne Self is a professional stock car racing driver who competed primarily in NASCAR's national series. He raced in the ARCA Menards Series from 2013 to 2022, running full-time for two seasons before moving to the NASCAR Truck Series, where he competed from 2018 to 2023. He drove for his family operation, AM Racing, fielding the No. 22 Ford F-150 in the Truck Series and previously the No. 32 Chevrolet in ARCA.[1]

Across 11 seasons and 156 starts, Self took one victory and eight podiums. His win came in ARCA Menards, where he ran 51 starts and finished on the podium in eight of them. In the Truck Series, a larger portion of his career, he made 105 starts on mostly oval tracks without reaching the podium. His most recent activity came in 2023, when he ran one round in the Truck Series before retiring from the sport.[2]

Self's record places him mid-field against the professional drivers he regularly faced. He finished behind established professionals including Grant Enfinger, an ARCA champion with over 250 Truck Series starts, and Ben Rhodes, a Truck Series regular with more than 250 starts of his own. His best results came against stronger opposition: he finished ahead of Chase Briscoe, the 2016 ARCA champion, on three occasions, and ahead of Christopher Bell, now a NASCAR Cup Series champion and elite-level professional, once across their limited meetings in Truck Series competition.
