🇺🇸 Ava Dobson

Dobson is an American single-seater driver in her sixth season of racing, currently competing full-time in F1 Academy with Hitech and American Express backing. She has raced across the junior ladder from karting through US Formula 4 and into the FIA's F1 Academy feeder programme, accumulating 51 starts since 2021. Her record across these categories shows a driver developing within competitive grids but not yet establishing herself as a race winner; she has one podium finish to her credit, achieved in GB4, and an average finishing position of P15.4 across all her classified starts.[1]

Dobson's head-to-head record against repeated rivals reveals a consistent pattern of racing behind stronger drivers at each level. Against FIA Silver-graded professionals and national-level front-runners such as Leon Wilson, Isaac Phelps and Daniel Guinchard, she has finished behind them substantially more often than ahead. She has, however, managed occasional strong results against professional-level competitors; she beat Jason Pribyl, an FIA Silver-graded driver, in five of their twenty shared races, and has isolated wins over other front-runners including Jack Taylor and G3 Argyros. Her main team, Arden Motorsport, has established success elsewhere in the junior ranks with 16 race wins across its programme.[2]

Dobson's move to a full-time F1 Academy seat in 2026 represents a significant step in her development as she tackles one of the FIA's premium feeder series. Her early results in that championship have yet to yield points-scoring finishes, but the step from part-time GB4 competition to a full season at this level is substantial, placing her among drivers competing for positions within a global talent pool.
