Benym Abernethy is a semi-professional driver competing in SCCA club racing and karting. He races Mazda Miatas across the SCCA Majors and Regionals series in classes SM, SMT, SMX and STL, alongside a single start in kart racing at the SKUSA SuperNationals. His primary activity is SCCA Regionals, where he has taken two wins and six podiums from nine starts in 2026.[1]

Abernethy has contested two seasons on record, 2025 to 2026, with 27 starts across five championships. His wins and podium finishes have come in SCCA Regionals competition. He typically races against entry-level professionals such as Camden Gruber and Weston Duchak, both of whom hold substantial experience in SCCA Majors and Regionals; he usually finishes behind them but has beaten Gruber twice and Jared Korth once, both entry-level professionals with extensive SCCA competition.[2]
