Blake Clements is a competitive amateur who raced in NASA's national multiclass championship across thirteen seasons from 2005 to 2018, competing in Mazda Miata spec classes. He made a single appearance in SCCA Majors in 2021 before retiring from racing.[1]
Over his indexed career, Clements took eight wins and twenty-seven podiums from forty-two starts. The bulk of his record came in NASA, where he started forty-one times and finished on the podium in twenty-six of those races. His wins came exclusively in NASA competition. He finished fifty-ninth in the SCCA Majors championship standings from his single start in that series.[2]
Clements raced regularly against developing drivers at this level, typically finishing ahead of Ed Estes and Kevin Pyles, both of whom accumulated substantially more starts in NASA than he did. He also beat Alec Udell, a professional-level driver graded Silver by the FIA who has competed across IMSA's national series and NASA, twice in their meetings. His record places him among the consistent frontrunners in the Spec Miata field he inhabited throughout his career.
