Stover is a competitive amateur racing in national solo and endurance championships in the United States. His primary focus is BMW CCA Club Racing, a multiclass series in which he has taken four wins and ten podiums from 22 starts across its BMW-only CM and PWR4 classes. He also competes regularly in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass endurance series where shared-car teams race production-based machinery across classes; there he has eleven wins and twenty podiums from forty starts since 2016, competing in Classes 1, 2 and 3. His rating of 1,944 places him among competitive amateurs, drivers who win races consistently but typically against amateur and semi-professional fields rather than established professionals.[1]

Across his eleven seasons on record, Stover has accumulated 30 podiums and 15 wins from 65 starts. He has raced BMW CCA Club Racing annually since 2021, establishing himself as a regular fixture in the series and producing his strongest consistency there. American Endurance Racing remains his longest tenure, spanning 2016 to 2025 with results across multiple classes; he finished 20th in SCCA Majors points in 2021, his only season in that series. His endurance racing record is shared-car results, so his podium tally reflects his co-drivers' contributions as well.[2]

Stover runs closely with Alex Rubenstein, a competitive amateur who won the American Endurance Racing Class 4 championship three times and remains a regular in the series, and usually finishes behind Todd Brown, a semi-professional BMW CCA Club Racing regular. He has beaten professional drivers on occasion, including Mike Skeen, a Trans-Am TA2 champion with 49 IMSA WeatherTech starts, and Misha Goikhberg, a professional with 92 IMSA starts; these remain single race meetings rather than patterns in his record.
