Carson Kapica was a club-level driver competing in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass endurance championship in which each car is shared by two or more drivers. He raced a production-based machine in Class 2 during the 2017 season with an American Endurance Racing entry.[1]
Kapica took part in four rounds of the 2017 championship and finished in 12th place in the season standings. He recorded two podium finishes across those four starts.[2]
He raced regularly against entry-level professional Preston Brown, with whom he was closely matched, and against fellow club-level driver Fred Benedict, typically finishing behind him. In his starts, Kapica finished ahead of Brown on two occasions and beat semi-professional Robert Grace, who had raced more than 200 NASA rounds before his American Endurance Racing appearances.
