Preston Brown is a semi-professional racing in a national multiclass endurance series. He drives a TCR touring car for Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb Agajanian in the IMSA Pilot Challenge, where he has raced since 2022. His rating of 3,967 places him at the professional level of competition.[1]
Brown won the 2025 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR championship. Across his IMSA Pilot Challenge career he has taken five wins and thirteen podiums from 42 starts. Before joining the series he spent five seasons in American Endurance Racing from 2017 to 2021, where he raced in Classes 2, 3 and 4 with two wins and eleven podiums across 31 starts in shared-driver endurance racing. He made a single NASCAR Xfinity start in 1988, finishing 41st in the championship standings.[2]
Brown races in fields that include established professionals and graded drivers. He is closely matched with Mark Wilkins, a semi-professional FIA Gold driver and 2019 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion with 76 starts in the series. He has usually finished behind Harry Gottsacker, a semi-professional FIA Silver driver and 2023 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, also a regular in the series. He has beaten Robert Wickens, a professional FIA Silver driver and 2011 Formula V8 3.5 champion, on six occasions across their IMSA Pilot Challenge meetings.
